A while ago I played around with some paper flowers I had left from another project to create some fun, flowery patterns.

My dear boyfriend James Lancett took this little photo of me a few months back but since I always liked how weird it looks, I thought I'd share it!  So here, the fly-eye portrait of me ;)

Here's a little color test I did for the Thumbelina character design. I liked playing around with different options for her hair and skin (blue?) but in the end I decided for the pink hair and orange skirt to go with the overall image scheme.

So here it is, finally I had a chance to finish off this little papery-flowery illustration of Thumbelina I was "secretly" working on :) It took a little longer than I originally thought, since I also had a few other projects on go at the same time, but I'm happy to finally be able to share it with you now :)

New Cover design illustration

Hey guys! How are you? Here’s a little snap of a new book cover illustration I did for a Polish publisher and their new series for young readers. Apart from doing an image itself I also design the title typography and little series logo as well, which as always, was a great fun for me :)

Flotsam and Jetsam is out!

Last year I had a chance to create illustrations for a new release of Flotsam and Jetsam series by Tanya Landman, published by Walker Books. It was great fun working on this project and now I'm so happy that it is finally in shops! Enjoy :)

Goodbye Sherlock….

This year, my boyfriend James really wanted to get me into watching BBC’s Sherlock with him. And so in oder to get me ready for season 3 (I never watched any of it before..) we had a proper Sherlock catch-up during Christmas, watching all episodes from previous seasons and now… not only I’m totally hooked up but also I cannot believe it’s already all over for another year :(

Mikołajki aka Santa Claus Day :)

Happy Mikołajki everyone :D

It's 6th of December and so today everyone in Poland celebrates Mikołajki, since according to catholic church it is the day of Saint Nicholas. To explain the festivities it's important to look at the fact that Nicholas in Polish means Mikołaj, then Saint Nicholas would be Święty Mikolaj, which is the then same as Santa Claus in English.
And so, basically it is Santa Claus Day and the tradition is to celebrate it by giving little gifts to one another :) There you have it.
