absence makes the heart grow fonder

These bad boys above are the final pieces for my summer project i've just finished.it was based on creating 2 images, illustrating an old, well known saying - Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder.
first one ment to communicate its meaning whilst the other, question it.
the trick was to use at least 5 visual elements in a 1st image and then re-use at least 3 of them in the 2nd.

"Mr ABC looses his mind!"

Here are some early tests for my little book called Mr ABC losses his mind. It's about Mr. ABC who spends some quality summer time back in the 1920s. While having a relaxing chess tournament with his fellow player his mind gets bored and tired of all the apparent exertion and wonders off to have more fun. It jumps into all sorts of different objects also accidentally giving them MR.ABC's personality.
What happens next is that it all turn into a massive mess and a huge chase to get the missing mind back.
Basically good fun!
